Scherzo was written in 1996 in honor of Carolyn and David Gell and for the dedication of the Schulmerich Carillon at Trinity Epsicopal Church in Santa Barbara. The piece is mostly for manuals, and sections of it may be played with various bell sounds contrasting to light organ registrations. It is in the style of a traditional scherzo; bouncy and bright in character. Part of the Concert Organ Series.
