Dennis Janzer is an award-winning composer with a Doctorate of Musical Arts in composition from the University of Miami. His other degrees are as diverse as a Master of Science in biomedical engineering from Marquette University to a Master of Fine Arts in theory/composition from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
Janzer is Director of Music-Organist at St. Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral, Memphis, Tennessee, an annual recipient of ASCAP awards, and active as both a composer and performer with compositions that range from organ miniatures to large symphonic works. His contributions of new compositions involving organ student instruction are especially noteworthy. In fact, a number of them are used at the American Guild of Organist’s “Pipe Organ Encounters.”
