The composer explores the dramatic and virtuosic potential of the horn, but also places considerable demands on the pianist.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nThe sonata was composed in 1935 and 1936. Three months after a live radio broadcast, the work was given its world premiere by the same performers – hornist Josef Schwarz and pianist Berta Kabeláčová-Rixová – at a concert at the Smetana Museum in Prague on 28 January 1938.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nThe rediscovery of the forgotten and never-before-published horn sonata is thanks to pianist Robert Kolinsky and principal horn of the Berliner Philharmoniker, Stefan Dohr, who recorded the work on the CD “Miloslav Kabeláč: Complete Chamber Music” (Capriccio 2024).\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nBased on the autograph score and solo part, which are held at the National Museum – Czech Music Museum in Prague, the sonata appears here in print for the first time – as part of the “Complete Critical Edition of the Works of Miloslav Kabeláč”.            \u003c\/p\u003e\n          \u003c\/div\u003e  \n\u003c\/section\u003e\n\n\u003csection id=\"content3\" class=\"tab-content\"\u003e\n          \u003cdiv id=\"c-product-table-table-of-content\" class=\"c-product-table\"\u003e\n         \u003c\/div\u003e  \n\u003c\/section\u003e","brand":"Bärenreiter Praha・ベーレンライター","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47705076105446,"sku":"kga9790260110113","price":8025.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0499\/1710\/0196\/files\/co_lrg_01_53bda705-5310-448f-abae-bf743aee1b3e.jpg?v=1779459005","url":"https:\/\/gaudeamusic.com\/products\/kga9790260110113","provider":"Gaudeamus","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
