“Confinement period in March 2020 was an opportunity for me to think about the directions I wanted to take in the next years and to give myself some small writing challenges. Among them, I decided to start composing two pieces for the same ensemble, namely the string quartet, in order to test my ability to recycle myself. If the Quartet n ° 5 is an abstract and continuous work (it is in fact a rigorous canon between the four instruments), the Quartet n ° 7 is a less linear piece, or rather, a piece where linearities are succeed and collide.
