The Sonata for Viola and Piano (1984) is not based – as is common in the 'classical' sonata form – on the dualism of two opposing themes. The dialectics are in the juxtaposition of two homogenous movements of contrasting character. The third movement brings, like a development, the analysis of motifs and structures of the first two movements.
