"People, Look East a chorale prelude on BESAN?N" was commissioned by the American Guild of Organists for the 2006 Biennial National Convention in Chicago, Illinois. This through-composed partita-like fantasy uses colorful jazz style harmonies to paint evocative images of this beautiful Advent hymn. In its entirety it serves well as either a concert piece or a service prelude.
