The sophisticated choral arrangements by Clytus Gottwald have found a place in concert life throughout the world. He has made four Lieder by Hugo Wolf available for the choral repertoire: His transcriptions for 7–16 voices under the title “Vier Lieder” include the opening Lied from the Italienisches Liederbuch (“Und willst du deinen Liebsten sehen“) as well as three settings of Mörike poems (“Das verlassene Mägdelein, “ “Auf ein altes Bild“ and “Der Gärtner”).
