Following its edition of the beautiful "Messe Sainte Cécile" by Gounod in an arrangement for Coro SA and organ (CV 27.025), Carus presents a further sacred work by this composer: his Te Deum for soli, choir, two harps and two organs (choir organ and great organ). As Peter Kaiser, the editor, has expressed in his foreword, this work from 1886 realizes a "strict, almost ascetic musical language, " an "inward awe and praise of God."
