Diane Bish's new setting of the much-loved Welsh hymn tune Hyfrydol is a welcome addition to the organist's library. The four flexible variations - which include a Schumannesque first variation, an incisive Baroque-like variation, a lyrical sarabande, and a toccata finale - could be played in whole or in part as a concert suite, or used for hymn introductions and interludes.
