The seven-minute composition is based on an English text by John Cage: a quasi-musical calculated succession of 56 short basic questions about music. Singer and instrument have to perform various vocal, playing and breathing techniques, mostly in parallel motion. Their performance develops from a kind of ritual to free expression, with the piece itself becoming an answer to what the text wants to know – at least in parts: 'Is it high? Is it low? Is it loud? Is it a plane? Is it music? Why?'
