Paul and Barry Ryan were the twin sons of 50s pop singer Marion Ryan. The two brothers were destined for a future as pop stars. They were already performing as a duo before their 15th birthday. Later, however, Paul turned to songwriting and Barry went solo. The hit Eloise, with its melodramatic vocal style and heavily orchestrated background, is a result of this successful collaboration and was subsequently reinterpreted by numerous artists. Philip Sparke has now made the pop evergreen playable for wind orchestra.
