Kenneth T. Kosche was born on September 4, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois. He started playing the organ as a beginning high school student with lessons from his eighth-grade teacher, and he has avidly continued playing the organ ever since. He received a BS in Music Education (piano) in 1969, and MS in Music Education (voice) in 1971, from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. His DMA (choral) in 1977, came from the University of Washington in Seattle. Further study since 1990 has been under the tutelage of Alice Parker in New York City and later at her home in Massachusetts.

Dr. Kosche’s early teaching experience was gained at several public schools in Illinois. He taught one year at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, before spending the next thirty-one years at Concordia University Wisconsin where he was the head of the choral music program. He led choir tours throughout the United States and Canada, Brazil, Great Britain, Hong Kong and Shanghai, Taiwan, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
