The composer Eduard Pütz (1911-2000) studied composition at the Musikhochschule in Cologne with Heinrich Lemacher, Hermann Schroeder, and Kaspar Roeseling. Later he worked as a teacher of theory at the Rheinische Musikschule in Cologne.
