Even with its instrumentation which may seem unusual at first glance, the spirit and symphonic character of the pioneering work is preserved. Although the piece does not provide a direct opportunity for a solo performance of the clarinet, there nevertheless arise wonderful symphonic possibilities which are transmitted by the arranger Sebastian Gottschick from the rich original score as accurately as possible.
